	Our Mission It is the intention of the AIAS@UIC to provide a unique experience that will cater to one's education in the UIC School of Architecture. Working closely with the National AIAS, the AIAS@UIC provides benefits and opportunities not given by the UIC School of Architecture. The programs and events set forth are meant to inspire, drive, and increase one's will to becoming the best possible architect. It is also a place where one can socialize and network in the discipline of architecture. When drawing upon a number of professional organizations, the AIAS@UIC has a number of invaluable resources at its disposal for student use. Being students in the UIC School of Architecture, the AIAS@UIC will always be vigilant in protecting its identity and its integrity. Although this is just a fraction of what AIAS@UIC has to offer, only by joining can one take full advantage of the benefits AIAS@UIC has to offer. AIAS Membership Being a member in the AIAS@UIC enables you take advantage of the manyopportunities and benefits that the organization can provide - not to mention the invaluable resources that Chicago has to offer- including Discounts on media and events Participation in AIA Events Architectural Tours Lectures Seminars In AIAS@UIC, you can determine your level of benefits and involvement. Three Membership Levels are offered: Local Membership free All UIC School of Architecture Students are considered Local members. Local Membership is free and receive the minimum benefits, such as access to the Resource Library and student representation. More on Local Benefits... Chapter membership $15 membership fee (Local Dues) More involved than Local members and receive more benefits. Chapter members can attend lectures and events among other benefits. National Membership $50 membership fee Receive the full potential of the AIAS; not only Chapter benefits, but national benefits as well including national representation, attending the AIA convention at a discount, and AIAS National seminars.
